605 Series Catamaran
Spec Sheet (pdf)

The Wendon 600 Series Power Catamarans are ideally suited to the North American
cruising lifestyle with remarkable performance, tremendously responsive handling
and spacious mega-yacht style salons and accommodations. The 600 Power Cat is
an incredibly comfortable and inviting yacht for boaters that are looking for
best value and good return on their investment. Inside the yachts' main deck,
the magnificent salons are built to the highest standard of finish. The bright,
open plans feature superb decor utilizing beautifully detailed cherry wood joinery
and cabinetry. Extensive use of light ash woods, Corian solid surface, with Majilite
headers and paneling in the lower accommodations ensures that the staterooms provide
a bright comfortable welcome to owners and guests.
With an amazing surge of interest and popularity, the modern powercat stands on
the edge of the new Millennium as the hull shape and design of the future. Catamarans
not only have inherent efficiency in performance, they offer generous space on
the main deck for the salon and galley. Choosing to locate lower accommodations
in the twin hulls, results in each stateroom having unequaled privacy from the
other staterooms.

Pilot
House and Upper Deck
A beautiful staircase leads to the Pilothouse and Upper Deck area. The Upper Level
on the 600 Series Catamarans is a source of joy and pride at shore or under way.
The custom settee and table provide comfortable seating and the large reversible
helm station seat converts the pilothouse area into a second Salon.
The helm station provides the captain with full control of the 600 Catamaran.
Electronic controls are protected with a full backup system. Instrumentation is
very complete, and includes engine monitors, Furuno NavNet Radar, GPS with plotter,
depth sounder, electronic heading sensor, binnacle compass, radio, autopilot,
rudder angle indicators and a color monitor for the 7 surveillance cameras for
docking, engine room monitoring and anchor watch.
A large chart table is starboard of the helm and has large chart storage drawers
beneath and additional convenient storage below. Dockside, at anchor, or underway,
the Pilothouse / Lounge provides a great area for relaxing, or enjoying a beverage,
snack or meal. When under way, it becomes nearly dreamlike, with an incredibly
quiet but breathtaking ride.

The Galley/Dining Facilities
The well-appointed galley is situated forward on the main deck, and is equipped
for the most discerning gourmet. Amenities include a full size refrigerator/freezer,
four burner ceramic range with oven, convection microwave, and in-sink disposal.
The large double Corian sink also features a Corian insert cutting board and extension
faucet. The full size dishwasher and trash compactor are cabinet enclosed. A dining
nook is starboard. Corian countertops and the teak floor add beauty and practicality
to this spacious galley area, and the cabinets and storage areas are incredible.
This wonderfully arranged gourmet galley has plenty of work preparation area,
and it is safe to say that no chef (or first mate), will ever register a complaint.

Main Salon and Lounging
The heavy duty entry doors aft in the Main Salon slide open effortlessly. As you
enter the Salon, large cedar lined hanging lockers are conveniently located port
and starboard. The Salon and Dining Area on the main deck define luxury and spacious
design. To the right of the entrance to the stairway is the entertainment centre
incorporating a large LCD Flat Screen TV. The house stereo system features DVD,
CD and FM with zoned speakers throughout the yacht. The multitude of lighting
options and the gorgeous ceiling inset enhance the elegant area. Custom window
coverings stow at any position, and the custom dining area defines the excellent
craftsmanship at Wendon. The power and control panels place all magnetic circuit
breakers for all main level circuits in the Salon forward.
The main level of the 600 Catamarans which includes the main salon, dining area
and galley forward is laid out with virtually no clutter, and allows for extensive
interior layout and design to fit individual needs. It is amazingly spacious,
with an interior beam of nearly 18 feet. Cabinet storage is awesome, extensively
provided on both port and starboard sides in addition to the extensive drawer
and cabinet storage provided in the galley. Lighting includes recessed lighting
around the perimeter of the ceiling, custom inset lighting above port and starboard
custom wall fixtures, the dining room hanging fixture, and extensive Xelogen lighting
throughout the salon and galley areas.

Staterooms
Port and starboard accommodations are located below and are accessed by sets of
stairs descending from the main salon. Each side has a twin berth stateroom forward
and a queen berth stateroom aft. All staterooms have well appointed heads with
toilet, shower and sink. Each stateroom provides excellent storage, full cedar
lined lockers, and Xelogen overhead lighting, perimeter rope lighting, and incandescent
reading lamps. The dressers, vanity and night-stands all feature Corian tops and
the generous use of mirrors amplifies the spaciousness.

Utility Space
The utility space which lies between the hulls is located forward and is accessed
by stairs leading downward from the galley. Here you will find the washer, dryer,
built-in vacuum, water heater and fresh water pumping system. The chain locker
is situated forward of the utility space.

Engine Rooms
When you visit the engine rooms observe the attention to system details, especially
water and fuel lines, electrical routing and cable bundling. All fittings are
best quality. The engine rooms are accessed from the transom boarding area. Each
side is nearly identical, with electrical generators in sound shield cabinets,
and ample storage areas. In the port engine room a unique hot water heating system
derives its heat from either diesel fuel or electric sources. Powered by turbo
diesels, the 600 series Catamarans cruise comfortably at 16 knots. |
