There is a saying to the effect that a boat’s importance as an escape from
reality, a change of pace, a theme for reflection, and as an art form, gives it
worth. To many, these features define a yacht. As you inspect this magnificent
yacht, take time to look beyond the beauty: look at the substantial worth of the
vessel, the seaworthiness, ease of handling, the fixtures, the joinery and hardware,
and the inexhaustible attention to mechanical and electrical integrity and serviceability.
Explore the extensive electrical and electronic systems, the safety features,
custom tanks and quality fittings; all with masterful workmanship that defines
Wendon quality.
All questions can be answered with the simple statement, “Luxury Without
Compromise”.
Accessed by a beautiful full-size staircase is the remarkable Pilothouse / Upper
Lounge featuring port and starboard custom settees arrangements, and reversible
helm seat that joins the crowd. The skipper can join guests seated at either of
the comfortable settees with built-in table and beverage holders. The layout provides
sightseeing for the entire party in a comfortable social atmosphere. When you
enter the Pilothouse, the custom Wendon Wheel at the Helm makes a statement. A
two piece head is conveniently located at the aft port quarter of the lounge,
and a hanging locker is to starboard. The lounge door leads one onto the spacious
aft upper deck to enjoy the sun and the sights.
Fully equipped and masterfully constructed, the Helm station provides amazing
360 degrees visibility, and provides full ship’s controls and full electronics
with backup shift and throttle unit and thruster controls. The chart table offers
full size chart storage drawers and a document storage cabinet beneath.
The magnificent large main salon features a wet bar and an attractive dining area
with custom dining table. The built-in entertainment system includes a tracking
DMC satellite antenna, Linn Home Movie Package with Sony Plasma 32” display,
and AM/FM CD/DVD with speaker zone controls throughout the yacht. Finished with
sumptuous décor in beautifully detailed cherry wood joinery and cabinetry,
this bright open salon is what you would expect in mega-yacht styling. Darkly
tinted windows let in plenty of light while also preserving privacy.
Just forward of the main salon is a complete galley with a large settee dining
area. Top of the line appliances and features include an electric ceramic top
stove, microwave convection oven/ range hood, full size side-by-side 27 cubic
foot refrigerator, dishwasher, and unique beautifully constructed cabinets for
storage throughout. The galley is also equipped with an in-sink disposal and a
trash compactor. The Corian counters and custom teak floor are very durable and
provide easy cleanup. Built-in vacuum outlets are located throughout the vessel.
The accommodations below are accessed from an attractive well-designed curved
staircase. The master suite aft has more storage area than most home master bedrooms.
Appointments include dual aromatic cedar-lined wardrobes, Corian counter tops
throughout, and nightstands on either side of the king berth. The custom mattress
is extremely comfortable and well-made. A functional and beautiful vanity with
bench seat is in one corner, and a large upholstered linen storage bench seat
is in the other. Mirrors and lights enhance the beauty of the stateroom. A custom
entertainment system is positioned opposite the foot of the berth and features
full stereo, and a Sony LCD television coupled to the ship Direct TV satellite
television system. Breathtaking woodworking details complete the suite.
The master head with tile floors and extensive use of Corian has sink, a water
jet flush full-size toilet and a large stall shower.
Also below decks are the two guest staterooms, the inviting VIP queen forward
and twin to port. The two guest staterooms share a lavish well-appointed bathroom.
Each stateroom has a private entrance to the head, making it semi-ensuite to each.
The full height walk-in engine room entered from the swim step/ boarding platform
is the heart of the Wendon 700. Powered by twin 825 horsepower Detroit Diesel
Series 60 turbo diesels the 700 upper pilothouse yacht cruises comfortably at
18 knots. Twin 16kw Northern Lights generators are enclosed in sound shield cabinets
for very quiet operation. The Wendon 700 is a beautiful and functional Yacht,
with excellent attention to safety and craftsmanship. When you examine and work
with the systems on board this vessel, you come to appreciate the degree of perfection
to which this yacht is constructed. The 700 is an incredibly well built yacht
with uncompromising quality.
A generous integral swim step/ boarding platform, provides safe boarding access
to the vessel. The davit ensures secure storage for the ship’s tender and
easy deployment and recovery. The aft deck has ample overhead protection from
the weather. A gorgeous curved settee with twin tables and barbeque on the port
quarter will be a favorite spot while at anchor or at the dock. Docking stations
with controls for bow and stern thrusters, and controls for the main engines are
located on the port and starboard sides of the aft deck. From the aft deck a large
sliding glass door provides entry to the main salon. |
